One of my best girlfriends and her boy friend of 6 years just broke up. She caught him cheeting on her and she is devestated. She supported him by moving to a new city so he could go to school, paid for the apartment they lived in, and stuck with him while he went through bankrupcy and depression. I am going to see her in a week and I need some ideas for some out of the ordinary things to do to cheer her up. She livs in Orlando and Disney just ain't gonna cut it. Any ideas? How do I cheer up my friend who just broke up with her cheeting boyfriend?
vacation somewhere else. take her away from things that might remind her of him. argghh, what a jackaass taking advantage of her like that. its really sad. try to keep her busy and remind her about the good things in life. do something wild and crazy. something fun that she'll never forget for the rest of her life. of course, there will be moments when she does think about him, so just be there for her. try to comfort her in any way. give her a hug. that always cheers me up :)How do I cheer up my friend who just broke up with her cheeting boyfriend?
take her to chip and dale night at a club ;)
Be there for her...don't leave her alone to long. This guy is a creep. She needs someone to help her keep her mind off negative things..and to help her laugh!
wow. dang that sucks ): talk to her. make her laugh. not corny jokes, but like. make her remeber the good times that YOU guys had together. she should forget him. hes a loser
That's AWFUL! She totally let him take advantage of her and she gave him her LIFE for 6 YEARS and he CHEATED on her?! That is seriously some of the worst **** I've ever heard in my life!
Honestly, you should just take your cues from her. Let her cry on your shoulder, order pizza, eat ice cream, watch chick flicks, etc.
You may also want to try making her a scrapbook. Find pictures of all the great times the two of you (and your other friends) had together before this jerk came into her life and times when you all had a girls' night out while she was still with him. Just remind her that she can have fun without him in the picture (no pun intended)! Paste them all in a blank book and decorate the cover and the pages and write little inside jokes, song lyrics, and friendship poems around the pictures. Just let her know that you're there for her...you have been in the past and always will be!!!
Sleep with her.
